Hospital Discharges To Home Health, Nursing Homes Increasing
The rate of patients discharged from hospitals but who still needed home health care increased 53% (from 2 million to 4 million) between 1997 and 2006, according to the latest data in a report from the Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality (AHRQ).
